In late June of this year, Russia approved a law criminalizing transmit information about 'non-traditional relationships' to minors. A law that, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin, doesn't discriminate the LGBT community, has lit the fuse of the rise of homophobia in the state of Russia, marked by the radicalization of the far right that, with the police, attacks the LGBT activists... and to say nothing of "Occupy Pedophilia", a organization composed by neo-Nazis and dedicated to kidnap gay teenagers for torturing them. Most of these guys end up dead because of the attacks or suicided. Young people who have a whole life ahead and end up committing suicide because they can't stand living with the pain of having been tortured. And even dare to say that the law doesn't discriminate.
Russia has become the cave of the monster of Homophobia, a monster who, with his friend Fascism that already takes power in countries like Italy, Greece, France..., tries to make way in Europe.
Russia recedes years every time a LGBT activist is arrested, a lesbian stabbed, or a gay murdered. But this time the communism isn't who takes power, is the fascism, being Russia one of the countries where they are most discriminated homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals.
I, unfortunately, can't go to Russia to fight against homophobia , but I want to add my two cents with this "campaign" where homosexuals with heterosexuals denounce homophobia in Russia through these pictures that I hope will reach the eyes of some Russian LGBT teen and makes smile him to see that there are countries where heterosexual and homosexual join their forces to fight against homophobia. I highlight, only two of the people featured in the photos are homosexuals.
We can't have at the beginning of XXI century homophobia continues existing.
Always has been and always will be LGTB people in the world. We never take a step backwards in our struggle because love always wins, and that's a fact.
Let us unite our voices to say again: NO to discrimination, NO to impunity and NO to homophobia, because YES we can love , YES we have rights and YES we are persons.
STOP HOMOPHOBIA. LOVE IS LOVE.
